Designer Lisa Webb Berry is the most recent addition to the Home on the Range team. Born and raised in Boulder, she stayed in her home state for college and studied at both Colorado State University in Fort Collins and the Colorado Institute of Art in Denver, graduating with a degree in Interior Design. Right out of school she designed a clothing store homeontherange.jpgin Larimer Square as an independent. Owned by one her fellow classmates at the Colorado Institute of Art who studied fashion design and merchandising, the store needed a custom design and Lisa was asked to handle the entire project.

This experience proved invaluable because when she later interviewed with Beth Slifer, of Slifer Designs, Lisa’s work designing the clothing store helped her obtain the job. Slifer was impressed that Lisa pulled off the clothing store design with no real experience and hired her. Lisa lived in Vail from 1988 to 1990 and was part of Slifer’s original design team.

Following her time with Slifer, she moved back to Denver and designed a loft when that was the new trend in Lower Downtown Denver (LoDo). The loft was in the Junior League Loft Home Tour and was the cover feature in Colorado Homes and Lifestyles. She was also featured in several publications in Vail for designing the Penthouse in the clock tower building which was part of the Vail Home Tour.

In 1996 Lisa moved to Steamboat where she met and married her husband and started a family. She worked as an independent designer while her children were young and then in 2005 the family moved to Florida and Lisa worked for a large firm called Sisler Johnston Interior Design. During her three years in Florida she designed beach residences and country clubs. But Lisa and her family missed the mountains and decided to return to Steamboat in 2008 where they still live. She worked as an independent designer until starting with Home on the Range in May 2014.

After spending time living and working in both Colorado and Florida, her projects and experiences reflect a broad range of styles. Lisa’s career is thriving at Home on the Range as she continues to work on both small and large scale projects. She is also one of the smiling faces that greets customers at the Home on the Range Showroom.
