Ever since she was a child Kelsey Cole knew she wanted to be a designer. She was surrounded by a family of architects, engineers, and designers who she admired and whose work she enjoyed seeing featured in national publications.
Born and raised in Kansas City, Kelsey graduated from Kansas State University in 2005 where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Interior Architecture and Product Design. After graduation she moved to the Vail Valley where she immediately delved into the design world with Zehren and Associates. In August 2013 Kelsey joined the Slifer Designs team where she works in many different styles depending on the specific client and project.
After over a decade as a Colorado resident, Kelsey says both nature and quality design continue to inspire her and that she enjoys working with natural materials from her mountain environment. She believes that investing in a quality rug is important because “a rug grounds a room and is often the main focal point – the rug often sets the tone of the whole room.” While Kelsey has clearly made a career out of her passion, she says her favorite aspect is “seeing the final product after working so hard on a project.” When she isn’t working she can be found spending time outdoors with her husband and two kids.
